Inspire Your Daughters and Sons (IYDAS) is a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening families and empowering youth through its “Four F” framework—
Faith, Family, Fun, and Finance.
INSPIRATION STARTS WITH SUPPORT
Inspire Your Daughters and Sons is a woman and minority owned non-profit designed to inspire boys and girls to learn etiquette skills in fine dining, build their confidence, enhance leadership skills and find their voices through journaling and creative writing.
The target population are youth who are in the foster care/adoptive care services, targets of bullying and those who need us most. We aim to guide these youth into who they were created to be. We service commercial, non profit and governments organizations by mobilizing the right people, skills, and technology to aid organizations in their reach to develop confident and determined youth.
OUR PROGRAMS
KREATIVE MASTERMINDS
Kreative Master Minds is a summer and after-school learning and enrichment program designed to support student success. Our program helps students stay on track academically while also discovering their voice and building confidence through arts and culture. Kreative Master Minds is an eight-week program in which students create and publish their own literary works. Throughout the course, we focus on creativity, imagination, confidence, and literacy. Students engage with their peers, form meaningful friendships, and connect with caring adults, creating an environment where they can thrive and grow.
GLOBAL PEN PAL PROGRAM
Through letters and video conferencing technology, the Global Pen Pal program enables students to connect with students in countries they have yet to discover. Diverse perspectives. Foreign cultures. Novel languages. Students are exposed to international ideas, customs, and ways of thinking. Experiences that are integral to building future innovators, leaders, and mavericks of the world. The Global Pen Pal program is designed to build those leaders and innovators. During the program, students improve their collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills through mutual projects. While building their confidence and writing skills, students are developing unforgettable friendships that can last a lifetime. Diversity initiatives, intercultural exploration, and meaningful extracurricular activities, all of these fit within the Global Pen Pal program!
KING JAMES AND PRINCESS YAYA PROJECT
The King James Project and Princess Yaya Project is a social-emotional learning mentorship program to address the unprecedented mental health crisis that students face. Our program decreases disruption in learning, relationships, and routines. It also decreases isolation and allows students to interact with their peers, friends, and caring adults. Our Art and Play Therapists use trauma-informed and evidence-based practices. We also teach students lifelong skills in fine dining, confidence, and leadership building. Students are taught to find their voice.
MATH IS A MATTER OF FACT...NON-FICTION
Math is a matter of FACT.. Not-Fiction is a math literacy program that is focused on increasing graduation and proficiency rates for students in metro Atlanta. Our math literacy program includes engaging, real-world experience for an education they will never forget. We partner with schools, government departments, large nonprofit organizations, and other agencies to support our students. Our curriculum is based on State Standards.
LANGUAGE IS MY CULTURE
Our ELA program helps with the development of robust literacy skills. Our goal is to empower students to thrive in school and in life by helping to increase graduation and proficiency rates. That’s why we create literacy solutions that support the whole child, in the classroom, at home, and in the community. We provide targeted solutions for use in every area of the literacy block, featuring a wide range of authentic text and research-based instruction. Our wide variety of programs can be used in conjunction with existing materials or together as an integrated literacy framework. We partner with schools, government departments, large nonprofit organizations, and agencies to support students and increase ELA scores for graduation. Our curriculum is based on State Standards.
